Tyler grew up surrounded by great music.

Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Tyler was introduced to the sounds of rock, blues, and funk at an early age. By the time he was nine years old, he was already playing guitar and writing music in a band.

In the years since, Tyler gained experience playing live and studying the art of music—both at jam sessions and in the studio. He also took up piano, bass, and drums; obtained skills in music production; and immersed himself in jazz styles and concepts.

After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in 2016, Tyler worked for four years as a music educator at a 6-12 private school, teaching personalized courses in music theory, production, and numerous instruments. During this time, Tyler graced several iconic stages, including Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club, New Jersey’s Stanhope House, and New York City’s Rockwood Music Hall. He also performed the National Anthem twice for basketball games at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Currently, Tyler resides in Washington, D.C., where he plays music professionally as a solo artist and with bands Dollar Boys and Rock Creek Kings. He also continues to teach private lessons in guitar, bass, music theory, and composition.
